Rebuild the Bargo Dingo Sanctuary

Donation protected

The Bargo Dingo Sanctuary was formed in October 1976 by Berenice Walters to protect and promote knowledge and understanding about our native dog the Dingo.  Manned by volunteers who have kept it staffed and going all these years.

Sadly as the fires continued to advance rapidly today the sanctuary was caught and engulfed. Firefighters on scene had little choice but to break open the gates and allow the Dingoes to hopefully flee the fires.

Volunteers who were able have been searching for and rounding up the missing Dingoes.

Tragically though, the sanctuary is now in ruins. They have nowhere to go back to until it is rebuilt. This campaign seeks to raise funds in order to aid in and speed up the re-building of the sanctuary as soon as the danger passes so the Dingoes have a safe home to return to.

The sanctuary is important as it gives a refuge to rescued Dingoes who would have nowhere else to go. It teaches not only the local community, but a vast array of patrons who visit from all over Australia and overseas about our native dogs and not to fear them and why they're an important piece of our history and native wildlife. This education is very important as we're seeing just as much senseless killing and poisoning of wild Dingoes as ever and the pure Australian Dingo is becoming increasingly endangered.

We all need our sanctuary back, so if you want to help please donate what you can for our Dingoes and share a link to this fundraiser.
Any small amount is enormously appreciated and will be a great help to us.
