Hi friends,

I normally try to be the go to person for others in need but I find myself in a pickle right now.

Knuckles became very ill this weekend and I thought I’d lose him. We got him to the vet and they found that he had a large sand impaction, and his diagnosis was somewhat grim. I chose to treat him and give him a chance knowing the cost, because truthfully he’s so much more than my pet horse. He’s my second chance at a happy childhood lol. His presence in my life is so symbolic of all the positive changes I’ve been trying to make, and I’m not ready to not have seeing him to look forward to. Knuckles is an old healthy boy, who ate sand and got sick.

$4,000 and 2 nights later, my boy has recovered. A lot of people who know me know I recently took a big risk and bought my own land so I could keep mocha and knuckles there. I’ve been working my buns off this month to get that ready for knuckles, where it’ll actually be impossible for him to eat sand.

I was happy to pay the bill to save Knuckles, but it does put a lot of strain on my family. So I figured I’d ask my friends if they want to help a lady out, with no expectations. Thanks for reading this and for everyone who knew what was happening and rooted for us, I’ll never forget how you all came through. I’m so grateful.
