Hi everyone! My name is Jessi Martin, and my brother-in-law, Caleb Martin, is fighting for his life in the ICU with Covid-19. He has been on a ventilator for two weeks and was placed on an ECMO machine yesterday (11/2/21) in preparation to stabilize him for a lung transplant at Duke. This process will take about a month at Centra in Lynchburg before he is strong enough to transfer. Once he is, he will be transported to the transplant center at Duke in order to prepare him for the surgery. This process will be long and painful for him and he needs all of the support he can get from his family and friends. Any help you can give will be greatly appreciated to ensure that he has what he needs. Please understand that there is no pressure at all to give, and prayer is coveted the most, as Caleb is truly in God’s hands. This page will allow anyone who feels led to support Caleb and his family through every step of this journey.
