Knoxville Wiley Templeton aka Captain Stink Snout Wiggly Butt, our otherwise very healthy dog, was diagnosed with bone cancer. It’s nasty, aggressive and painful. Good news, it hasn’t metastasized. Not as good, but bearable news, the best route for pain management and quality of however long the rest of his life may be, involves amputation. Ugly news, surgery and pain management costs are not funny. You’d think they’d pay US for obtaining such a precious piece of this priceless beast! I mean, I haven’t asked. Yet.

It hasn't been an easy decision, we've consulted with four vets and our collective hearts. We're betting on Knox's spirited resilience and spunky disposition to carry him through. Your love, prayers, and high vibes are as needed as any dollars. So, we thank you for keeping us all in your hearts.
