Knowledge Up Library in Sean Monterrosa's Memory

Sean was only 22 when his life was cut short by the Vallejo Police on June 2nd, 2020. He loved reading, especially about being Latino, but he wasn't a narrow reader! The last class he took was with his sister at CCSF titled- Latinas in the U.S./Voces. He loved learning. His sisters and I (his neighbor and school librarian) know this is what he would've wanted; a place where the youth can "knowledge up" in the form of two Little Free Libraries, filled with bilingual books about social justice, stories that empower and fantastic non-fiction with important factual information. There will be one little library for younger readersMy Brother Was Kneeling  Hundreds Kneel to Remember Sean  and one for teens and beyond with the best books and MP3 Playaways we can find.
