Adriana’s 2nd Cancer Battle (relapse)

Donation protected

The doctors say Adriana has relapsed. Scans on February 12th showed tumors in her abdomen that were not on her last scans, two weeks before her 1st liver transplant day anniversary and 8th birthday. She will start a new chemo protocol and need to have surgery.

Adriana was diagnosed with stage 4, hepatocellular carcinoma a type of liver cancer in July 2019. She is our baby girl in a family of 6 children. Less than one child in a million gets the type of cancer Adriana has. We have been told this type of cancer is the rarest in children younger than 10. She received a liver transplant #giftoflife on her 7th birthday, February 28, 2020. She had scans in June that were clear, she was officially in remission. In August and November her scans were also clear. Since transplant a year ago she has been in isolation to recover from transplant, being immune compromised and the pandemic.

Adriana has fought so hard to get to today and deserves more. The type of cancer Adriana has little to no research, no funding, no new treatments in children because of the rarity.

Adriana just wants to be a little girl, play with her friends and siblings, go to school and play her favorite sport. Pray for Adriana she is so strong and brave we don’t want her to fight alone. She endured so much the past 581 days.

If you are willing and able please consider donating to Adriana’s GoFundMe any contribution would be greatly appreciated.
