The Know Your Status Campaign is a collaborative effort between Philadelphia based non-profits iROC and WeDoBigThings. On June 27th, the two-part campaign will kick off at 10:00 am by reaching 100 youth within the urban communities of Philadelphia, providing rapid HIV/Aids testing and educational information surrounding the epidemic of the disease. On the evening of June 27th, each youth that received testing that day will receive an award of recognition during a formal award ceremony. The evening will be further geared toward promoting the importance of knowing your status.
We are taking donations to help fund this initiative.
The Know Your Status Campaign will serve as a starting point for a massive HIV/Aids education and safe sex promotion initiative. In doing so, we plan to align with the schools across Philadelphia and surrounding areas with hopes of implementing onsite testing and education while placing greater emphasis on removing the stigma associated with the terms HIV/Aids.
