Hi my name is Katherine I am Knole’s daughter. My daddy passed away on 4/15 from his battle with lung, throat and stomach cancer. He had very little in the way of finances. While his burial will be free through the VA we are faced with the financial responsibility for the mortuary immediately. My mom has now lost all of her income until we can get things squared away for her. My mother is disabled both physically and mentally. We need to square away their home by making sure at least her lot rent is paid until she is able to get some kind of income. We would like to give her some short term financial relief as well. Every penny will go towards my fathers mortuary expenses, memorial service and my mothers and to help my mother financially in the short term.
My father was a well known musician out of Sacramento, ca. he played in many different genres; Reggae/Ska, Rock, country, and Folk music. Many of you may know him as Buddy Tokes and others may know him as the Turquoise cowboy. The bands that he had/played in are Isa Wah, B.T. Hiro, Mud Bone, Dog Byte and solo as either Buddy Tokes or The Turquoise Cowboy. He made a greatest impact on the Sacramento music scene in the 80’s and 90’s and was featured on a public access show after he won a Sammy award sponsored by the Sacramento News and Review. This was one of his greatest accomplishments in his musical career. He loved making jewelry, especially out of turquoise and feathers. Towards the end of his life he started drawing and reading the Bible. He loved writing poetry which we find in different places throughout their home and car. He lived his life to the fullest and loved his 4 grandchildren, children and wife fiercely. He will be missed by so many especially his family. Thank you for considering donating and if you are un-able we understand fully.
Love to everyone from his family!
