Hi there!
I'm Monique, the absolutely honoured producer of the Griffith University 2024 Graduate Film "Knock Out". Alongside an extremely talented and credited crew of fellow students, we have entered the year with high ambitions and determination to create something that will help us launch in to the creative fields after graduation.
From our Director, Aengus Mcneill who is exploring every avenue of Muay Thai, emotional performance and tricks to influence the audiences reaction. It is safe to say we are in good hands.
And to our Writer and Director of Photography, Zach McKenzie. The creative force behind the Concept. Writing to form a truly authentic screenplay, the story weaves carefully around tradition and redemption. However more naturally, he will take the reigns as the man behind the camera, shaping each shot in the vision curated with himself and Aengus.

The Synopsis of our film is as follows:
A friendship between two Muay Thai fighters is left astray by a gruesome car crash. With Kris fighting through recovery, Theo must win the biggest brawl of his lifetime to seek redemption. Coach Noel refuses to train him at first, but Theo is persistent to earn his trust back, and prove himself to Kris' family. Blinded by the past, a brutal punch knocks him into the world of his subconscious. Now he must realise that life isn't always about winning.
So you may be wondering, where is this money going to? And, well, the answer is rather simple.
The money made here will be supporting all areas of the film, but particularly;
- Production Design - a local artist will be create a 9m x 3m Dragon Mural, and simulating a hospital styled location
- Catering for our entire crew and cast over the 7 day shooting block
- Locations - we will be filming for 4 nights in West End at EASTSIDE Boxing Gym
- Fight Coordinator - Chris Bridgewater (with credits on “Boy Swallows Universe” and “The Amazing Race”) will be by our side, ensuring our actors are trained and performing stunts within the film as accurately as possible
- Equipment specific to our sound, camera and lighting departments
