'After spending 61 days in an air raid shelter, Millie would like nothing more than to leave her boyfriend Louis and the shelter turned prison behind. Yet, faced with the uncertainty of the unknown outside Millie has resigned herself to a mundane routine, that is, until a knock at the door sparks a newfound hope within her. What is the source of these knocks, and what does it mean for the outside world?'
My name is Liam Stewart, and I am the writer and producer for 'Knock First...' Inspired by films such as 10 Cloverfield Lane, and real life stories of lockdowns & air raids, Knock First... intends to create a grounded and tense short film made entirely with a physical set. Here is what your donation can help us accomplish:
- We intend on creating a physical set to make the environment feel cramped & lived in, which is something that cannot be recreated with digital trickery.
- This budget will allow us to pay our actors, hire industry professionals, and feed the team, making for the best possible film.
