Hey everyone — I’m Courtney, and I’m creating this fundraiser because a recent health emergency has put my life and work on pause, and I could use a little assistance getting through this stretch. This has been a deep practice in asking for support for me.

A few weeks ago, I went to the ER for a double ear infection. It was severe and I was unable to work that week. Not long after, I was back in the hospital with chest pain and shortness of breath. I was diagnosed with myocarditis and pericarditis — inflammation in and around the heart — which caused a minor heart attack.

Everything has seemed to happen so fast, and simultaneously my life has been put on pause. I currently have no diagnosis on what caused this but I’m grateful to be recovering. While I focus on recovery, not being able to work and having to delay a new job has made it hard to keep up with bills and everyday expenses.
