Knightsfield School Expansion Plans

EXCITING NEWS! Knightsfield School is growing!

We are excited to announce that we have been granted planning permission for a new, state-of-the-art indoor facility that will serve as a multi-purpose area for sports, drama and music productions!

This will also include two new classrooms and will meet the acoustic requirements necessary for optimal listening conditions for our students. As well as new changing facilities and indoor communal spaces.

Knightsfield School is a specialist provision offering an auditory-oral approach to learning for deaf students in Years 5 to 13; some of our students also have additional needs. Knightsfield is a happy and successful school with a supportive environment and a high regard for safeguarding our students throughout their education.

We currently have 66 students on roll, with the demand for places increasing with each school year. As the school continues to grow we strive to improve our practice and the lives of our students. Having a small multi-use hall that is as acoustically built as possible will boost the school’s spirit and with some added educational areas will ensure that all years are safe and can learn well.
