Cancer Treatment For Kevin
Donation protected
This is our beloved Father, Kevin.
For most of his life, he has always been very physically active and loves the outdoors. When not working in construction, some of his hobbies are going to sporting events, traveling, hunting, fishing, hiking, spending time with his family, and running around with his eight Grandchildren, teaching them new things.
So many people love him. Perhaps it’s because of his sense of humor, adventurous spirit, or that he is always willing to lend a helping hand. However, he will be the first to tell you he would rather help someone than receive help himself, which at times led him to some difficult situations. This is why we would like to ask for help on his behalf.
Back in July, after completing a construction job, he had an MRI due to excruciating pain that he was experiencing in his shoulder. The MRI showed that not only did he have a torn shoulder muscle as well as a fractured clavicle, but also lesions around that area. The doctors informed him he would need surgery to repair his shoulder muscle. However, within days of the MRI, he ended up in the emergency room after severe cold-like symptoms. He soon learned that he had Staphylococcal Pneumonia. They ran more scans and tests while he was there, and it was then that they discovered cancer.
On September 7th, he met with an oncologist, confirming he has Multiple Myeloma in 50 percent of his bone marrow. Due to ongoing health issues, he has been out of work for the last few months, reaching a point where he is physically unable to work. As a result, his weight and strength are dwindling. At times even the most simple of tasks have become difficult.
At this time, we are asking that those who are able to provide assistance please consider doing so. Kevin is meeting with different doctors and specialists to put a plan for treatment in place that is right for him to get his cancer in remission, which may eventually lead to him getting chemotherapy. Therefore, all contributions will be used strictly for treatments, medical bills, medications, supplements, food, and living expenses.
Our Dad is a fighter. He cherishes his friends, family and adores time with his Grandchildren, which is the driving force for him to fight this with everything he has. It brings him comfort knowing people care and are praying for him as well as remains hopeful. We appreciate all the love and support we have received and continue to receive. We will post updates along the way and do our best to keep everyone informed.
Love Ryanna, Sarah, and Amanda.
