Mia's Medical Expenses

Hello my name is Mia. I am a very playful, loving, loyal, and affectionate five year old Lab/Pitbull mix who absolutely adores my family. I live a happy and adventurous life with my them in Colorado. Last night my family had to rush me to the ER because I was very lethargic and continuously falling over. After the scary tests that they ran, we found out that I have Immune-Mediated Hemolytic Anemia. This means that my body is making antibodies that are destroying my red blood cells. Due to this anemia, all of my vital organs, including my brain, kidneys, lungs, and liver, are not receiving the oxygen that they need. Since it is affecting my liver, I have jaundice which turns my tissues yellow. Without the oxygen my body needs, I am at risk for organ failure. As of today, the doctors completed a blood transfusion to help replace my depleted supply of red blood cells. They are planning to do an ultrasound on my organs tomorrow to see how they are doing. I am writing because any financial help would be the biggest blessing to help pay for my medical treatment and my stay here in the hospital. Due to the transfusion and the medication regimen, that could take up five days to take effect, it is extremely expensive for me to stay here. I am fighting for my life and I am not ready to leave my family yet. My family and I would be eternally grateful for any help that can be given as soon as possible.
