Hello, my name is Cian. My mom Kim was always a strong and independent woman. She loved to go on hikes, do yoga, rollerskate, and a myriad of other activities. I have many fond memories of climbing trees with her and going on fun adventures. Unfortunately, she has been suffering from a rare and disabling condition since August of this year. She is unable to work and has a hard time moving and doing basic tasks like cooking, dressing, and bathing. Doctors here don't have a cure for it, only medication with dangerous side effects that would cover up the problem but not fix it. Seeing my mom suffer both physically and mentally is extremely difficult, but fortunately there is a glimmer of hope. I started this fundraiser so I can get my mom the treatment she needs to heal. I want to be able to go on hikes and adventures with her again and see her shine like she once did. Anything helps—any amount, any kind thought or positive energy would mean so much.
