Dear Friends, Family, and Believers in Justice:
We are Malena McElroy-Riggs and Greg Riggs. We’ve set up this Go Fund Me account to benefit our brother/in-law Ralph McElroy Jr.
On a daily basis we become more profoundly aware of the inequity and the disturbing level of disfunction in our justice system. Unfortunately, these issue have personally affected our family in an adverse way. In 1986 at age 17, my brother Ralph McElroy Jr. was sentenced to life with out parole for a crime he did not did not commit. Our family has spent the last 33 years in battling a broken justice system. We’ve been on an emotional roller coaster continually moving through the revolving doors of courthouses from the Missouri Court of Appeals up to and including the United States Supreme Court. As we continue to battle the justice system in an effort to clear Ralph’s name , we want to express our gratitude to our legal team and of Miracle of Innocents.
We are thrilled to announce God has answered our prayers. Ralph will be conditionally released from the Missouri Department of Corrections on September 25, 2020. Missouri’s resources for inmate re-entry programs are very limited as is our family’s. To facilitate Ralph’s successful transition we are for donations. All proceeds will help us acquire the necessary essentials of life such as toiletries, clothes, shoes, masks, a phone, identification, education, and transportation.
We sincerely thank you for your prayers and gifts of support.
