A little over a month ago, Jeff and Michele Furbush were living the American dream...well the real one. A loving couple working hard to pay the bills, put their son through college and be the supportive rock for their young adult daughter as she starts her own journey of life. They were happy, full of life with dreams of seeing their children's futures until that one day in April when Jeff went to work and collapsed. That was the sad start to the disintegration of the life they knew.
It was discovered the cause of the collapse was due to a brain tumor in Jeff's frontal lobe. Jeff and Michele are both such wonderful people with strong faith, they stayed positive, joking around, even throughout the surgery to remove as much as possible of the tumor. Sadly it was not enough, Jeff was diagnosed with Grade 4 Glioblastoma with a life expectancy of 1-4 years.
Jeff is a fighter and Michele is just as tough if not tougher. Jeff was a tile installer and the primary bread winner. Michele works full time as a mom and part time outside of the house, but naturally has had to miss many days so she could be there for her loving husband. Jeff is in the process of applying for long term disability but current status money is tight and we know treatment to come will not be cheap.
We are their friends that love them dearly and want to do whatever part we can to lessen one struggle while they will be dealing with the bigger struggle. We know in these current times, the story of a man battling cancer is not as uncommon as we would wish, but any donation you can provide would be a blessing. Please be part of "Team Hope" and give chance to give his all to this fight. We all love this family dearly and want Jeff to be around for a long time to see his son graduate, walk his daughter down the aisle, play with his grandchildren, enjoy life.
We thank you in advance for your kindness and selfless gift.
