Hi friends! As some of you already know Bryan’s girlfriend, Emily, was recently diagnosed with Chronic Myeloid Leukemia. Emily is a vibrant 32 year old mother to Eli and has so much life to live. Despite this scary diagnosis she (and we) are remaining positive that she will beat this! I’m starting this gofundme on her behalf to help cover the cost of her insurance deductible and some potentially very expensive medications that she will have to take for at least 3 years. Here is what she shared publicly about what she’s going through:

“I don’t usually post things like this, but I believe in the power of prayer—and right now, I could use a few extra sent my way.

Last weekend took an unexpected turn when I was admitted to the hospital, had a bone marrow biopsy, and was officially diagnosed with chronic myeloid leukemia. Now before anyone panics—if you’re going to get a type of leukemia (which, let’s be honest, no one wants to), this is the one you’d want. Weird to say, I know—but it’s typically very treatable, and thanks to catching it early, I’m starting treatment with just oral medication and lots (and I mean lots) of lab work.

For those who already knew, thank you so much for the prayers, support, and love you’ve sent my way. I truly feel like I’ve got an all-star team of family and friends behind me. It means everything—especially as I navigate this new reality and juggle life, treatment, and my wild little sidekick (aka my toddler).

We’re taking things one day, one lab draw, and one dose at a time—armed with faith, humor, and a whole lot of love. ”
