Gracie has been selected to attend the Junior National Young Leaders-Conference (JrNYLC) in Washington DC. She received this distinguished honor as a result of her academic achievement and demonstrated leadership potential.
At this week-long conference, Gracie will learn to become a better leader by setting clear goals, understanding the importance of strong character, improving communication skills, complex problem solving, earning respect of others, and building effective teams.
Through out the week, she will participate in fun and engaging site experiences in and around our nation's capital. She will learn about the characteristics of past and present leaders at the Smithsonian National Museum History and study leadership choices at historic locations such as Harpers Ferry National Park in WV.
By participating in this program, Gracie will be taking an important step toward becoming a leader in her school and community. She will gain the kind of experience and perspective that will benefit her throughout her secondary education and beyond.
