Guatemala Mission Trip- Living Water Int'l

Now that we have raise the required $2200 for my part of the mission trip, any future donations will go to help other team members from smaller churches. God Bless- Jay
This summer I have my 1st mission trip outside of the USA to Guatemala from August 20th - 28th. As you know, I have supported those who’ve gone on mission trips in the past but I haven’t felt led to go on an international mission trip until now. Our church partners with Living Water International and I felt led to go on this trip. We plan to put down a couple wells and help the people of one or two villages in Guatemala to have clean drinking water. It shocked me to find out that 663 million people lack access to clean drinking water and that women and children suffer the most from dirty water. One woman described it as a two-mile circuit to a tepid, green hole filled with gray water. That hole is the primary water source for 3,000 villagers. Others with her talked about their lives being dominated by two to three trips to the water hole each day.
My vision is to change the lives of one or hopefully two villages on this trip making clean water a reality for them. And we all know, when you feed the body, you feed the soul with hope. Also, during the trip, I want to share that God is a well that never runs dry and those who drink of the water the He gives them will never be thirsty.
I would like to ask you to partner with me on this trip. First in prayer, please pray that God grants our team strength to accomplish this awesome task, that we have safe travels, that our team would have caring and generous hearts, that we have the ability to plant some seeds of faith and that lives will be changed. Second, if you’d like to support this mission trip, I am responsible for raising the $2,200.00 that it costs to go on the trip. Your support and prayers will enable me to participate in this exciting opportunity. If you would like to help fund this trip your donations are greatly appreciated. Since we are using this platform to raise the funds, all funds in excess of $2,200. will be pushed to another team member who is having trouble raising funds due to their smaller church size. I am very excited to be a part of the work God is planning in Guatemala and I hope to share this amazing experience with you when I return.
