UPDATE: On October 20, 2019 , Siera Klees passed away peacefully with Matthew at her bedside. Siera was a loving wife and mother who cherished her husband and children. Her parents have been dedicated to Matt, Siera and the children throughout this tragic journey. Thank you, to all who have been so generous with donations, time, prayers, and support. You will never know what this has meant to the entire family. I am in hopes that the donations to this fund continues as we prepare to celebrate Siera and assist with supporting the children whom she loved so dearly. Siera Klees slipped/fell down the back steps of her home, Aug. 13th, 2019, while leaving for work.
This incident resulted in an injury to Siera's left foot. Siera began experiencing increased pain, swelling and bruising. On Aug. 21st Siera was admitted to the hospital for emergency surgery, debridement of foot. In an effort to save Siera foot a second surgery was performed on Aug. 24th.
Siera's health drastically declined, due to infection and failure of the liver. She was then airlifted to a major tertiary center in Grand Rapids Michigan.
As Siera began a battle for her life, she was next airlifted to to Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit Michigan. The difficult decision to take Siera back to the OR for her third surgery resulted in the lost of her left foot, just above her ankle.
Matthew, Siera's husband is currently at Henry Ford Hospital sitting at her bedside. He must be available at all times to make critical decisions regarding care for his wife.
The Klees family is proud to be hard working individuals who take pride in always independently supporting their family. Matt and Siera have three young children who are being cared for by Siera's parents.
The Klees family is in need of a home for their family. A home equipped to support Siera's physical needs and promote a safe place for healing. They are also in need of funds to cover loss of income and help to support their children.
These funds will be withdrawn directly by Matthew Klees, husband and father. Matthew Klees will be responsible for all expenses and dispersal of funds.
