Hey! My name is Klay Van Lankveld and I am a almost 20 year old trans man. Since the age of 16 I have been on waitlists for gender affirming care and have finally been given the opportunity to have top surgery. Although OHIP covers part of the procedure, all “masculization” of the chest is considered aesthetic and therefore isn’t covered. I was given an estimate of $5000 for the procedure and would appreciate any financial help as I am both a student as well as live independently and will have to take time off work to recover.
