“When an acclaimed children’s show is cancelled so that the lead actor can pursue more dramatic roles, a young mother kidnaps the actor to appease her daughter and keep the show going forever.”
About the Story:
Klaude was originally written as a silent, three minute short film entitled Kangaroo Kowtow in the spring of 2020. With the advent of the Coronavirus pandemic, pre-production was halted, and the idea was sadly abandoned. Over that year, the idea has been expanded upon. Klaude is a ten minute short film based on the original short, now including dialogue and a more fleshed out narrative.
Klaude tells the story of its titular character, who starred in a children’s show titled “Klaude and Joey.” After deciding to abandon his role for the ability to become a more serious actor, Klaude is kidnapped by a young mother named Pamela Salt to appease her child, Betsy. When Klaude is forced to reinhabit his former role, he must find a way to escape Pamela’s house with his life.
About the Production:
Klaude will be in production for a three day period between March 26th and March 28th with the aim of releasing during May of 2021.
