Rebuilding After Hurricane Melissa: Help Jamaica Recover

On October 28, 2025, Hurricane Melissa— a Category 5 storm and one of the strongest in recorded history— struck Jamaica with catastrophic force. Thousands lost their homes, vehicles, and personal belongings. Many families are now forced to rebuild from nothing. Even those whose homes remained standing suffered severe roof damage, losing furniture, appliances, and other essentials.

Though a month has passed, the devastation continues to affect daily life, stability, and livelihoods. My heart has ached to see my people suffer such loss.

Our Response

Many of our own family members were among those severely affected. In response, the Burchell family has come together to support our brothers, sisters, and communities as they work to rebuild their lives.

We are proud to announce the launch of the Burchell Legacy Foundation, dedicated to long-term impact in Jamaica through disaster relief, medical assistance, and sustainable development.
