In Honor of Daryl & The Bernards

As many of you know now we lost an incredible man Daryl A. Bernard. He was a one of a kind amazing father to my best friend Brittany Haniff, her younger sister Sarah Bernard, a loving husband to his wife Janna Bernard, the happiest "pop pops" to Brittany's son Landon, a helpful family member & an awesome brother and the list could go on and on.On December 29th him and his daughter, Brittany, were enjoying some father daughter time on his beloved Harley Davidson motorcycle. When they were just two minutes from getting back to his and Janna's home, they were struck by a garbage truck on Curry Ford Road, instantly killing Daryl & hospitalizing Brittany with broken ribs & a fractured spine-plus many more traumas & minor injuries. Brittany was just in town for the holidays as she lives in Georgia with her husband, who serves in the ARMY, and son Landon. I know I can't take the mental and emotional pain away but I would love to start this gofundme for their family during these hard times as medical bills are adding up, bills aren't stopping & Daryl was the one in charge of all the finances. Every little bit counts!! I myself have had some tragedy in life growing up and Brittanys family took me in their home when I was in 5th grade and cared and loved me like their own & now it's my turn to try helping them the best I can as well as help raise awareness of safety on a motorcycle and how important it is to look, look & look again for bikes. Daryl was the safest person on his bike, always had his goggles and helmet on, never drove over the speed limit and always watched all his surroundings.
That evening on December 29th, they never made it back home. Please help me help them, as they would never in a million years ask for this from anyone. And since I know they wouldn't- Im asking you. Thank you.
UPDATE 02/05/2015:
In light - or dark, rather- of new and unfortunate events, I am reposting this to ask again for help during a difficult time that is beginning to feel like the impossible for people that we love. Brittany had to be rushed to the hospital earlier this week due to complications and pain that began to surface from her injuries sustained from the fatal motorcycle crash that took place over a month ago now. Her husband, Dean, of course left their home and his work in Georgia right away to be with his wife as she suffered in the emergency room. This just had to be during the part of the week the weather was absolutely horrible and because so, Dean ended up in a horrible accident trying to come down to be with his family. The truck hit a median, spun out and down a ditch. Thank the Lord Brittany was able to be discharged although with unimaginable amounts of pain, and Dean walked away from the wreck with injuries that could've been far more serious, but the damage and medical bills are adding up far more than we could've ever anticipated. Dean and Brittany both have had to seek urgent medical attention for their seperate but serious incidents and injuries. I don't know what else to do.... Please help.
