Hi! My name is Olivia Balicki. I am currently a graduating senior at Downers Grove North High School, and I am so excited to be attending Webster University in Fall 2022 to study Musical Theater. I started participating in school musicals and community theater in junior high and haven't stopped since! It has become my passion and something that I desire to pursue as a career. Over the past year, I underwent the college audition process and despite all of the difficulties I faced throughout it, it made my love for theatre and performance even stronger and helped me find a conservatory/school that would help me achieve my future goals. 

Wester University provides me with an opportunity combine both my love for musical theatre and giving back. During high school, I was a member of both the NHS and Tri-M Music Honors Society, through which I volunteered within in my community in many different ways. While at Webster University, I plan to leverage my talent in Musical Theater to help foster equity, diversity, and inclusion in the communities that I will eventually perform and live in.

I need some help paying for tuition, room, and board this coming school year. My parents suffered some setbacks during the COVID-19 pandemic.  They, unfortunately, both lost their jobs in 2020.    My parents were each working 5 different part-time jobs to support our family through most of 2020 and 2021 until they were able to get their current full-time jobs.   However, our family is still trying to recover financially.

It is hard for my family and I to ask for help financially, but anything that you can give will help immensely :)
