Barb Miller funeral expenses

Cancer sucks. We especially feel the pain as another earthly angel flew from our sight with the passing of our sister-in-law Barb Miller this week.

Barb was only 59 years old and boldly battled colon cancer the last 3 1/2 years. Through all she endured, Barb was amazing with her positive outlook and strong faith. She loved people (and the pets) that came into her life. Even in these last days as she declined, she was engaged with individuals present - still with a twinkle in her eye. She had strong faith and was not afraid of death but more concerned about her husband Greg and other loved ones left behind.

In addition to the challenges of Barb’s cancer battle, a year ago her husband Greg (my husband Dale’s brother) was diagnosed with stage 3 lung cancer. Barb and Greg were each other’s caregivers and cheerleaders as they each went through ongoing treatments at different locations.

Throughout these challenging years, these two weren’t ones to reach out asking for financial help even when needed. It’s not easy asking for help. I have obtained Greg’s permission to set up this GoFundMe because now he is not only dealing with the devastating emotional toll of losing his soul mate but he is also faced with the unsurmountable financial cost of Barb’s funeral and related expenses to the point where one of the options he’s considering is selling their home. Greg and Barb have never lived extravagantly yet always willing to share.
