In memory of Tyrone
Donation protected
Hi. I’m Cara, Tys little sister.
It is with heavy hearts (and a few muttered expletives, which Tyrone would have approved of) that we share the passing of our beloved brother, Tyrone. He was 55 and passed away from lung cancer, surrounded by love .
Tyrone was many things: a proud man, a hard worker, a man who could grumble about the weather while fixing your roof, repainting your living room, and tending your garden—all in the same afternoon. He spent most of his life in construction, then moved into painting and gardening, often leaving things looking better than he ever admitted out loud.
In his final chapter, Tyrone was in recovery. It wasn’t easy, but he was determined to face life with honesty and leave it sober—and he did just that. We couldn’t be prouder of the courage and dignity with which he met his final days. His recovery friends in Boscombe were a lifeline, and their love and strength meant the world to him.
Tyrone passed with the love and support of his two sisters, Katherine and Cara, by his side—both holding his hands as he left us. The bond we shared with him is unbreakable, and we will miss him more than words can say.Tyrone has a large family in Ireland who have been there supporting him throughout his life at good and bad times and he was so grateful to have them back in his life and he was so pleased he got to see them all again back in March .
We are hoping to raise £6,000 to cover the costs of Tyrone’s funeral and give him the kind of send-off he deserves—simple, dignified, and with no fuss (because he’d haunt us otherwise). If there is any money left over, it will be donated to a charity close to Tyrone’s heart, likely one that helps others on the path to recovery.
Any help, no matter the amount, would mean so much to us and we can’t thank you all enough . ( Pat, Tom, Ricky, Davie)
With love and gratitude,
Katherine, Cara & Tyrone’s family
