Crowbar

Hello, my name is Jacob and i'm the writer and director for the short film Crowbar. This will be my first time bringing a story of my own to life and i'm deeply excited for this opportunity. I wrote this short because it is all too common that people end up with someone who is not right for them and my script explores the final consequences of these relationships. Our protagonist, May, is fresh out of college and living it up in New York City with her much older partner Alex, who has given up putting any effort into the relationship. After several years of pulling all the weight, May decides to plan a quiet trip out of the city for them because maybe some time alone can fix things, right?
