Dear friends, family, and fellow Union brothers,

With a heavy heart, I am announcing Nick Gonzalez's death. Unfortunately, Nicky was in a fatal motorcycle accident on Friday, October 7th. Those of you who knew him knew that he was a fighter, & Nicky fought till the very end — Nick was only 24 and so full of life and love.

They — meaning anyone — will tell you that you should prepare for death. Death is inevitable. No one is too good to beat it. Well, Nick deserved to, if anyone. Nick brightened the lives of so many with his big beautiful smile, deep belly laughs, sense of humor, and selfless means of carrying himself.

Nicky was so rare. Heaven truly gained an angel to be reckoned with — in the best way.

As you can imagine, the Hart/ Gonzalez family was unprepared for the financial burden of proper funeral service and burial. That is why I am reaching out to you all in hopes that you’ll show your support.

So you know exactly where your donation will be used, we are planning a modest but proper ceremony and covering the unexpected hospital bills. Every little bit helps.
