Garrett Jeffrey Miller Medical Fund

My name is Nannette Hopson, I am raising money to help pay medical expenses for my nephew Garrett Miller.  Garrett is 29 and was diagnosed 6 months ago with a Cancerous Craniopharyngioma brain tumor.  He has just had his second brain surgery at Stanford Medical Center.  His first surgery was done last June and unfortunately the tumor quickly returned larger and more invasive than the first.  As is the nature of this type of tumor, it is difficult or impossible to remove all of the tumor tissue.  As a result, as soon as he gets out of the hospital a 5 day a week course of radiation will begin and proceed for at least 4 weeks.  We are hopeful that the tumor will not return after the radiation, but we fear that the road ahead will be a long, trying and exhausting road for Garrett and his mother Julie.  Julie is my sister and has lovingly cared for Garrett and his special needs his entire life.  As a small child Garrett was diagnosed with Aspergers Syndrome.  He has a love for cars, owners manuals, registrations and license plates.  If you have ever met him you know that he will forever remember your birthday and probably when your registration is due, would love to put on your new tags and if your comfortable with it, he would like your old registration card.   I worry about the toll this disease will have on my sister and her family and I am hoping that raising some money to help pay for some of the expenses that insurance won't cover will help to ease the stress and worry a small bit.  Garrett means the world to everyone that knows him, he has the kindest soul and the biggest heart of anyone I know.  I would be forever grateful to anyone who would like to contribute to help Garrett and Julie.  Thank you for your time and help.
