Cody Reed is a 19-year old hardworking college student who is always busy and active. On Tuesday December 3rd, he was diagnosed with Total Anomalous Pulmonary Venous Connection (a rare congenital heart defect). After multiple tests and consultations here, they were advised to go to the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio for open heart surgery as soon as possible. They arrived on December 12th, will have more tests on the 13th, and surgery is planned for Tuesday, December 17th. He will spend a MINIMUM five days in the hospital post-surgery and have to remain in Ohio for at least 2-3 more days for a follow-up appointment. Cody does have insurance but there is a deductible as well as expenses for parking, food, hotels, gas, etc and any help is greatly appreciated.
