Saving Freya

Hi! My name is Cathy, and I am fundraising on behalf of Freya( previously Sadie). While out walking my dogs last week, this sweet dog found us. She was wandering the streets with a note and two pill bottles duct taped to her collar. She was starving for food, water, and affection and could barely open her eyes. I brought her home to attend to her immediate needs but couldn't keep her, so I tried contacting several rescue organizations, but none would take her. Without knowing what else to do, I begged the AZ Humane Society to take her in until I could find a forever home for her. They held her for five days (to contact her previous owners, who turned her out on the street to verify they didn't want her), then contacted me to let me know they were planning to euthanize her. My amazing daughter, who loves all creatures, great and small, drove from southern California, picked her up, and took her home. She is malnourished, needs eye surgery immediately, needs to be spayed, and will likely need to be on medication for allergies for the rest of her life. Despite suffering such terrible circumstances, this precious pup has a sweet and gentle spirit. She seems so grateful and content to be in a home with people loving on her. Please help us give Freya the life she deserves! All funds raised will go to cover costs for her surgeries and ongoing medical expenses.
