Travis has been through quite a bit the last few years medically speaking. So many visits to the ER with really no answers. His doctor's then discovered a liver disease and eventually he had a gall bladder surgery in Rochester, MN. If that wasn't enough, Trav still didn't feel great. Lots of headaches, fatigue, dizziness, etc. Doctor's were convinced this was due to vertigo and began treating it as such. A couple weeks, and another ER trip, a CT scan showed Travis has a large tumor in his brain.
4.1 x 3.7 x 4.7 cm expansile high density mass arising from the sella
turcica in the region of the pituitary gland. This is worrisome for a large
neoplasm. Diagnostic possibilities include a large pituitary macroadenoma,
craniopharyngioma, meningioma, large Rathke cleft cyst or other possible
malignant lesions.
Right now, Trav has 18 different tests and procedures scheduled, including an MRI and also a biopsy. Future treatments could include radiation and brain surgery. We assume most of these will be done at Mayo in Rochester, which is the best place for him to be treated. The problem is that is 2 to 2 1/2 hours away from home. It will require a lot of travel, hotel says, etc.
This fundraiser is so that we can take some of the financial stress off of Travis and Justin during this time. They should be in the honeymoon phase of their relationship, and instead are scared, stressed, and worried about both the known and unknowns they will be facing. We appreciate any donations as well as prayers, love, and positive energy put out there for Travis and Justin.
