My name is Jenneese “Paula” Banks, and I am from Westmoreland/Montego Bay, Jamaica. The people of Jamaica are my family, friends, and community — one people, one love.

Hurricane Melissa — the strongest storm ever recorded in the Caribbean — has left a trail of devastation across Jamaica. Entire communities have been destroyed, families displaced, and, tragically, lives have been lost. Many are still without food, clean water, or basic supplies. Among those affected are my own family, friends, and neighbors.

But through it all, wi deh yah still — we’re still here, standing strong together.

I’ve created this fundraiser to provide both immediate relief and long-term recovery support for those most impacted by Hurricane Melissa.

How the Funds Will Be Used

All funds raised will go directly toward:

Supplying food, clean water, and emergency essentials to families in urgent need through barrels and donation.

Assisting families in rebuilding their homes that were damaged or destroyed.

Supporting community recovery efforts in the hardest-hit areas through trusted local programs and organizations in Jamaica and the states, including verified community leaders and non-profits coordinating on-the-ground relief.

Every dollar raised will be used exactly as described above, and I will provide updates on how funds are distributed to maintain full transparency.

With many roads still blocked and access limited, monetary donations are currently the most effective way to help. Every contribution — no matter the size — helps our people stand tall again.
