Hello, everyone. My name is Clarissa Guerra, and I am reaching out to ask for your support for my partner, Adam Rios. At 28 years old, Adam is battling a rare and aggressive cancer: mediastinal non-seminomatous germ cell tumor (NSGCT) with choriocarcinoma, which has spread to his lungs.

Adam is an incredible person—golden-hearted, selfless, and always smiling despite the challenges he faces. He loves literature, music, and spending time with his loved ones. Since his diagnosis in November 2024, he has undergone several emergency procedures, chemotherapy, and long hospital stays. Through it all, he's remained positive and determined to beat this.

Looking ahead to 2025, Adam will need additional chemotherapy, surgical removal of his tumors, and possibly a stem cell transplant.

To receive the specialized care he needs, we now know that travel is unavoidable. Adam's oncologist is referring him to a specialist at the Mays Cancer Center in San Antonio, but the leading experts in NSGCT are in Indiana and New York.

Without Adam working, we are running on a single income. We humbly ask for financial support that will help Adam receive treatment from the best healthcare providers possible. This will give him the chance he deserves to overcome his cancer. Travel will begin in either February or March 2025 after his 4 rounds of VIP chemotherapy are complete locally.

Through this campaign, I am hoping to raise funds that will go towards travel, lodging, and any co-pays or payments associated with his treatment. Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a huge difference in helping Adam access the care he needs to fight this battle.
