Kiwi was found last night a few houses down from us by our neighbor. Her jaw was hanging and her paw was very mangled. The poor baby was covered in matted blood and was meowing from a bush. We don't know exactly what happened or how long she was in distress but we rushed her to the emergency room.

The doctors suspect she was hit by a car. Her jaw has several fractures and her front leg has severe neurological damage. She is stable and is spending the weekend in trauma care to make sure nothing else is wrong.  Right now we know that she will need a lot of surgery in her lower jaw and that she will most likely need to have her leg amputated. We feel strongly that Kiwi will survive this and continue to lead a very happy life.

This has come at a very difficult time for me. For those who do not know, I just graduated college and am about to begin my career working in New York City. It pains me to leave her, but she will be in amazing hands with my family in Florida. Right now we need your prayers and if possible help to raise money for her medical care and recovery.  Kiwi is the sweetest (and sassiest) little kitty, please help us get her back to full health.
