A few days ago Rick and the Kiwi's team made the hard but socially responsible decision to do the unthinkable. He had to close our favorite pub and grill. For those who missed it please see his post below.
"It saddens me to say that Kiwi’s will be closing temporarily effective immediately. We have been informed by 6 different people today that they have been infected with the Coronavirus and they have been inside Kiwis’s within the last week. This may seem like an extravagant step, however we are taking no chances with the health of our staff and our customers. I urge anybody with ANY kind of unusual symptoms to keep their distance from others until they have been cleared by medical professionals or quarantined for 14 days. It is heartbreaking to feel that we have to take this drastic step. We feel that your time at Kiwis is supposed to be a fun and relaxing experience and currently I don’t feel that we can guarantee that. We will be constantly monitoring the situation and will reopen the restaurant as soon as we feel confident that we can provide a safe and healthy environment. If anybody has symptoms or tests positive for Coronavirus and wishes me to know, please private message me. No judgment, we’re just trying to gain as much information as possible. This leaves his entire staff not working. They all have bills as we all do. They have been there on our good days to have fun with us and they have been there on our low days to lend a smile and make us feel like we are all part of the Kiwi's Family.
I know that you all will agree that when you are at the Wi you are more than just a customer.
So I am putting this out there with the cooperation of Rick to help his staff. If all of their regulars just threw a small amount towards this it would help them all.
Please feel free to share this and lets help them all out.
