Kitty Love's Wellness Journey

Early in the morning on Wednesday, Jan 17, 2024, Kitty was not able to string a sentence together when she got up to let her St Bernard outside. The ambulance rushed her to the closest hospital for a CT scan. She was diagnosed with a 6 cm mass in the left frontal lobe of her brain. The rapid swelling around her brain required another ambulance drive 3 1/2 hours away to UCSF Brain Tumor Center where she had brain surgery a few days later.

She was in the hospital for 12 days and then transferred to acute rehab where she's been for nearly 2 weeks. Once discharge occurs, she'll need additional in-home OT, PT, & speech rehab. We're told she will likely not be able to return to work for 4-6 months. She runs her own small business, so this is a huge blow. Unless you've been through this, you don't realize just how expensive medical costs are.
