Evelyn the Rescue

Sweet Evelyn belongs to my animal loving, critter obsessed sister, Sarah. Those that know Sarah know that she is generous to a fault and has a passion for defending those that can’t defend themselves. Sarah is a vet tech and cares for animals of all sorts from the furry to the feathery, slimy or scaley... she has no fear or dislike for any of God’s  creatures.

Sarah rescued Evelyn after she had been abandoned and nursed her back to health. She has cared for this girl since she was itty bitty. On Sunday, Sarah discovered Evelyn in her yard, barely moving with a LARGE, GAPING hole straight through her chest. Sarah immediately sprung into action doing what she could to sustain Evelyn until she was able to get her to the clinic. 

They discovered that Evelyn had been shot with what appeared to be a slug which looked similar to a 22 on X-ray  (likely by one of her cruel, neighbors which she’s still looking into). To Sarah’s relief, they were able to save Evelyn!

Although Sarah will probably be embarrassed that I started this page for her because she NEVER asks for anything and is ALWAYS the first to offer a hand (even when she doesn’t have the time or funds to do so) I know that she will be blessed by anything contributed. 

Sarah took on Evelyn without hesitation and has continued to come to her rescue without pause. Because of someone else’s careless, cruel and honestly evil actions, Sarah was put in a financial situation (that no one deserves to be put in) of choosing life or death. And again, if you know Sarah, walking away and letting Evelyn go without trying wasn’t an option. The girl would do without long before that happened so if you feel led to contribute, I know she would be blessed! Embarrassed, but blessed. lol (sorry Sarah)

sidenote: Obviosly not everyone will understand or even appreciate Sarah’s dedication to her pets but these animals are like family to her. So, judgemental judys be gone!
