Purrfect Haven Cat Rescue & TNR

Hi, My name is Catherine Harris and I am asking for help so that I may continue to help others in an effort to care for the forgotten and neglected Cats and Kittens in our communities that are fighting to survive on the streets. We are in a time of crisis as all of the shelters, rescues and foster homes that we have grown to count on to care for Cats that have no home to love them, are over capacity. There are nowhere for these cats to get the help they need and nowhere for people unable to keep their cats for one reason or another to take them, so we have an unprecedented number of stray and feral cats living on the streets, reproducing more and more kittens without homes. The only way we can help this situation we are in is to take steps to make change and the first step and most important step is to get the cats and kittens living on the streets to a clinic where they can get fixed, shots and flea treatment. I am doing this and have helped in the trapping of many kitty colonies in Akron and the surrounding areas. I have been doing this out of my own pocket and it is getting hard, but I do not want to stop. The more people get involved in making a change, the more chance we have that one day cats will be pets and not fending for themselves fighting disease, no food and the elements of Ohio. I am asking for people who are Cat Lovers to please consider helping me to keep getting out there and trapping, transporting and fixing feral and stray cats. I have also been blessed to find loving homes for the cats that I trap or rescue that once knew love and remember it and want to live indoors with a family again. There is no better feeling when I can make that match. I will use any donated funds to also care for the cats and kittens I have rescued as I work to find them homes.
