'KITTENS OF TAYLOR' - STACEY'S MEMORIAL

'KITTENS OF TAYLOR' - STACEY'S MEMORIAL
On the 25th February 2023, the world tragically lost a beautiful soul, Stacey Taylor.

I met Stacey many years ago when we were involved in the BSL campaign for WA. Little did I know then how our friendship would develop. I frequently babysat for the 'Kittens of Taylor' at the Augusta home, although they weren't too keen on their rottie cousins from the North!

Stacey, as we can all attest to, was a crazy cat lady and the 'Kittens of Taylor' were her life and passion. She had several cats, Isis (sadly got her wings in 2022), her daughter Freya (who is now 22 years old) and Lainie (the bitchy one).

In 2015, Stacey, being her usual rescue-mad self decided to try and catch two small feral kittens from the swamps around her home in Wandi, Pumba and Pika. With the help of rescue-loving friends and support from the rescue community, she succeeded.

Stacey was such a passionate advocate in rescue, be it dogs, cats or other critters. She frequently attended fundraising events, in her many different outfits & guises. She made us laugh, cry and be filled with joy at having this amazing woman in all our lives. The world is certainly a quieter, duller place without her.

As a tribute to her memory, after discussions with other friends within the 'rescue community, we believe she would appreciate donations in her memory for the continuing safekeeping of her precious 'kittens' - rather than flowers being placed at her funeral xx

I'm hoping to raise money in aid of HAART (HOMELESS AND ABUSED ANIMAL RESCUE TEAM ASSOCIATION INC), as they have opened their doors for the 'kittens', even though every rescue is currently bursting at the seams.

Lainie and Freyja have been welcomed into a permanent home for the rest of their lives but will need medication and treatment. Pika and Pumba being a bonded pair have found themselves in a foster home until they can be housed in their forever home. Typical of their 'mum' - they all have their individual medical issues.

Stacey would want them to be cared for in the best way possible.

Thank You for supporting the 'Kittens of Taylor' and may I express my overwhelming gratitude to HAART for helping in this difficult situation xx

We love & miss you Stace xxx

THANK YOU TO EVERYONE THAT HAS DONATED I THE LAST FEW DAYS - WE HAVE EXCEEDED OUR ORIGINAL TARGET OF $1000 BY A STAGGERING AMOUNT.

** Sadly on the evening of 22 March Freyja gained her wings and joined Stacey at the Rainbow Bridge. She was loved until her time was over xx
