Kitten Thrown From Moving Car Like Trash Needs You
Donation protected
Little Mochi’s story began Saturday afternoon on June 24th when a woman sitting on her porch in Watsontown PA witnessed something being thrown from the passenger side of a speeding car.
The woman heard something hit the ground with a thud. When she walked over to see what had been thrown, she was horrified to find a badly injured kitten.
This kind witness, Riley Boyer, carried the injured kitten to her yard and suspected that the kitten might be paralyzed.
She then made a post in a local Facebook group asking for assistance and that’s when a friend contacted me about the situation, knowing I lived nearby.
I hurried over and picked up Mochi from Riley and sped her quickly to the emergency vet close by.
They did an exam, blood work, and X-rays that determined she had a fractured pelvis that was very painful and limiting her ability to walk.
After 6 plus hours at the ER vet we went home with strong pain meds to keep her comfort while we wait to see if the fractured pelvis will mess with her bathroom ability.
She will have a follow up in two weeks and will be kept comfortable for the next 6-8 weeks while her pelvis heals.
If she needs surgery for her pelvis we will cross that emotional and financial bridge when or if we reach it.
She will need surgery to amputate her tail which is dislocated and stretched apart by someone who is likely the same as the person who threw her out the window pulled abusively on her tail.
Please keep little Mochi in your thoughts and prayers ❤️
