Amy's little kitten, Guru, has always been more than just a pet. He’s a beloved member of her family, and a bright light in her life. She rescued him just a few short months ago, and from the moment he came into her home, he brought nothing but joy and love. With his playful spirit, his gentle purring, and his endearing curiosity, Guru became a constant source of comfort and companionship for Amy, filling her heart with happiness.

But recently, everything changed in the blink of an eye.

One evening, Guru suddenly became very sick. He was lethargic, struggling to breathe, and clearly in-need of help. In a state of panic and desperation, Guru was rushed to the veterinary hospital, with everyone who loves him fearing the worst. After a series of tests, the heartbreaking diagnosis came: Guru was suffering from severe pneumonia, which is a life-threatening condition that would require urgent, intensive care. His health was rapidly declining, and he needed immediate, life-saving treatment and a number of tests to figure out what was wrong.

Guru was admitted to Critical Care right away, and his condition continued to worsen. Over the next few days, he fought bravely through every moment. He was later transferred to the ICU for around-the-clock monitoring, as doctors worked tirelessly to stabilize him. The care he received was nothing short of extraordinary, but it came with a price, which Amy simply wasn’t prepared for.

As the days stretched on, Amy’s heart broke seeing Guru so weak in intensive care, but she never gave up on him. She prayed and manifested his healing, sending all the love and support she could as he fought to survive. And slowly, through the dedicated care of the veterinary team, Guru began to show signs of improvement. Though he’s still recovering, there’s hope now.

However, the financial burden of Guru’s emergency care is overwhelming. The hospital bills, including his time in Critical Care and ICU, have accumulated to a staggering amount, and Amy is struggling to manage the costs. This is where we, Amy’s friends, family, and community, come in.
