Hi! My name is Frodo—a recent member of the Bonatch family. I'm six months old, and I was rescued when I was only three months old, taken in by two sisters and their little cat family. Now, I have an older sister, Pluto, and an older brother, Apollo, who I absolutely love to play with! I'm a bit of a trickster, annoying them in the loving way any younger brother would.

So far, my time in my new home has been amazing! I'm obsessed with mealtime and treat time, and my favorite toys are the plastic springs I can bounce around the house with. When I'm not playing or eating, I love lounging on my window bed, looking out at the street below.

Unfortunately, my health took a turn around one month ago. I was getting my pre-op bloodwork for my neutering when the vets found I had elevated liver values. They got even higher, getting into a dangerous range, and nobody knew why.

My parents tried every treatment and test possible, taking me for liver panels, bile tests, and even an ultrasound, where I had to get my tummy shaved. Now, I have to take an oral medication every day that I absolutely hate, and I have to start an antibiotic. Going to the bathroom can be hard, and I struggle with diarrhea and have accidents outside the litter box.

I've been going to an internal medicine specialist to find out what's wrong and get treatment, but it's been a long process, and we don't have all the answers yet. More than anything, I want to be healed so I can put these scary vet visits behind me and just be a kitten. I'm on a prescription diet that I'm also not a fan of, but I know everything is being done to help me get better.

I've had a hard first few months of my life, but I know that with some kindness and generosity, I can get the treatment I need and live a long, happy life with my two siblings!
