Samba U9s is a youth football team based in Chesterfield, made up of enthusiastic young players and run by a dedicated group of volunteer parents. At the heart of what we do is a simple belief: that football helps children grow in confidence, build friendships, stay active, and learn the value of teamwork.

Each season, we rely on the kindness of local supporters and sponsors to help fund kits and equipment. This year, we’re asking for your support for something especially meaningful.

Recently, as one of the parent volunteers, I lost a dear friend to cancer—a friend who loved football, supported Liverpool, and brought joy to those around her. In her memory, the Samba U9s parents came together with an idea: to make this season’s football kit a tribute to that special person. Not through a company logo, but with her name proudly on the front, as a reminder that love, friendship, and community are what make this team truly special.

Our goal is to raise £600—enough to fund a full set of kits for the team, turning each match into a small tribute to a life well-lived and deeply missed.
