Kitchen Possible is a community program that teaches kids to cook in order to show them how capable they are of making amazing things happen in their lives. They learn to apply a cooking model (make a decision, follow a recipe, taste and edit) to achieve goals both inside and outside of the kitchen. The program is free of cost and serves kids aged 9-12 in Chicago's Pilsen neighborhood.
Each week, the kids learn valuable lessons that apply to their daily lives. For instance, when making a flavorful sauce, sometimes the most important ingredient is time. The same is true when working toward a goal outside of the kitchen. We speak directly to these lessons in every class, and the kids share how they’re applying them to their own ambitions.
We are in-between sessions right now, the next taking place in winter. For this program to continue to grow, thrive, and serve more kids, we need your help! Please consider donating to Kitchen Possible to help more kids learn to make amazing things happen, both inside the kitchen and outside of it.
