Hello all,

My name is Kiah and I have created this fundraiser on behalf of my very special Mexican street puppy. As some of you might know, we previously thought my rescue pup, Kita, had a torn ACL and required a TPLO surgery. However after a visit to the Orthopedic Surgeon to get that process started, we learned that it is actually her patellar tendon, which has completely ruptured. 

 

Unfortunately there is no perfect solution to this issue. There are a couple different surgical options which all come out to a similar price and amputation is an option as a last result. As Kita is only 3 years old, I want to do everything I can to give her leg a fighting chance. It is my understanding the she will never regain full mobility, however if we can even get to 80% functionality I think she will still be able to have a happy life and it is my goal to provide that for her.

 

Kita is so beloved by everyone we know; I decided to make this fundraiser to allow the people in our lives to give a little support if they can, and if they want to. My goal is to get Kita the surgery she needs as soon as possible and get her back to her fabulous, playful, and loving self. Even if it means she has a limp! All funds donated will go directly to pay for surgery, followups and any medication needed.
