Kit & Robbie - Racing Cameramen

 

29th June was a day that changed the lives of Robbie Cotgrave & Kit Campbell. They went to work as Freelance Camera Operators providing live coverage of racing, but as a result of the horrible incident when the cherry picker they were using gave way, they have both suffered life changing, serious injuries and have been unable to work since then.

After 4 months of pain and mental anguish they have run out of savings and are both very concerned about their immediate financial future, even to the extent of being able to stay in their homes.

Robbie after 25 years behind the horse racing cameras and Kit having spent 6 years learning his trade, both face very bleak futures. Racing Welfare have been very supportive in all aspects but they can only do so much.

They both deserve our help even if in Robbie's words he is "very disappointed it has come to this" and Kit's "embarrassed to be a charity case". They are part of the hidden army that keep racing going so please can the racing community support them in their time of need.
