Dublin Kirtan Mela 2024

So here we are, in preparation for our next Kirtan Mela in Dublin. To aid us with the cost, we have set up this fundraising. As always, we depend on the generosity of all of you supporting our festival to make this happen!

What are we collecting for?

We are back at the Orlagh House, everyone loved it last year! We thought to go back, however there were some increase in price. But we are hoping it will all be worth the price!

We have some guest kirtan leaders and swamis who agreed to come from overseas and bless us with their presence. To ensure we supply a warm welcome to all our guests, we need some volunteers to help us and some financial support.

We also aim to provide a free vegetarian feast to everyone joining us on the day.

The funds required have been estimated as follows:

Lunch and Dinner Cost: €1200

Venue Cost: €2000 (+vat)

Advertising (Leaflets, posters etc): €100

Hospitality (Plates, cups and spoons, water, tissues etc): €250

Flowers (for garlands/decorations): €50

Insurance: €500

Guest transport and accommodation: €1000

Decorations: €100

Total needed = €5200

We have €580 left from our last year's fundraising and €30.43 a month which gets donated by a wonderful soul! We have €793 to start with this year. So, we paid €500 from this, to the venue to secure the date.

We are trying our best to organise the event and look after everyone nicely. So we have already started the groundwork for what should be an exceptional Kirtan experience! So please help us by supporting us in any way you can.

Please note that we do not get funded by any organisation. Our event is solely run by volunteers and volunteer's donations.
